Products and Services

We remove dynamics in order to increase safety and efficiency of marine operations

Our wide range of hook-based inline active heave compensators (IAHC) and passive heave compensator (PHC) solutions and services are available for purchase and rental.

Over time, an increasing number of clients have seen the added benefit of using PHC to deal with unpredictable dynamic load variations. As a result, PHC has steadily gained new areas of application, both topside and subsea, and has continued to go to deeper water depths.

Standard or adaptive?

Unless you already have experience with our range of PHC solutions, you will probably find it difficult to determine which unit to include in your system for optimal performance. Contact us for more information about how our range of products can reduce your dynamic challenges.

The key to successful innovation

Safelink consists of an ambitious group of specialised engineers. Our focus on providing high-quality performance is what has made us one of the leading suppliers of solutions for shock absorption and passive heave compensation. Information is the key to this success. It enables us to verify our in-house developed mathematical models and simulators, and to continuously optimise and improve our solutions.

Comparing theoretical simulations and real time measurements

A significant amount of time and resources are spent on installation analysis. As a supplier of input to these analyses we take great pride in delivering accurate data. Our extensive real-time measurements enable us to describe the characteristics of our units with unbeatable precision.

The internal and external value of information

Recordings from the offshore lift can be evaluated together with the installation analysis performed prior to the operation. Access to this information has great internal as well as external value. We know exactly how it works – and it empowers us to deliver intelligent and innovative solutions.

Application simulators

As part of our continuous research and development strategy we have created simulators for studying the effect and performance of our shock absorption and passive heave compensation solutions. In addition to providing detailed information on the functional and physical properties of the units, these simulators add valuable input when comparing data from simulation analysis and real-time measurements.

Lifting analysis

Safelink has broad inhouse knowledge about offshore installation analyses and simulations using DNV RP-H103, internal simulation software as well as the OrcaFlex software.

We have developed models of our compensation products, which can easily be implemented into OrcaFlex models (and other similar software) that we offer to our customers.

Safelink performs feasibility studies, giving approximate effects of implementation of compensation products.

In cooperation with our partner, we are also able to handle comprehensive extreme condition simulations.

Please contact us if you need compensator models or need help implementing a compensator into your lifting arrangement simulation.

Onshore and offshore service personnel

All Safelink solutions, including hardware and software, are designed with attention to usability. Our solutions are delivered with detailed instructions, and Safelink service personnel are not normally needed offshore. However, at our customer’s request, our highly skilled and trained service personnel will follow our equipment offshore to perform setup and assist in the operation.
